The aim of the Summer School 2011 Outdoor Games from the Historical Perspective in Latvia is:
- to introduce students with qualitative research, to train interviewing and inquiring skills to gain information;
- to improve skills to use information technologies needed for research;
- to improve cooperation and communication skills by different nation student mutual communication, to improve the skill to communicate with country people having different age and social conditions while obtaining information about outdoor games and plays;
- to play, to train and to participate in adventure outdoor and recreation programs.
The official languages of Summer School are English.

2-3 students and 1 teacher/professor from each University are welcome to participate in the Summer School.
All teachers/professors are welcome to hold two hours of theoretical lecture or practical class.
Students from each country should give a presentation of their country and university.
Health insurance is required for students during the Summer School.
Costs of the Summer School - 190 EUR

Summer school expenses
Accommodation for a night in a hotel: 15 EUR
Food: one mealtime about 4 EUR
Rent of a bicycle: 7 EUR per day
Summer school registration fee for each participant: 23 EUR
Registration fee includes: summer school programme, handouts, maps, portfolio, coffee and tea during breaks, certificate.
